Product Test: Baby Bouncers
At a recent dinner party with my girlfriends, we got on the topic of baby bouncers. Everyone thinks they're a God-send especially if you have a baby that doesn't like to lay down. BUT my friend pointed out that bouncers are the cause of hip problems for babies and it is not good for them. I seem to recall when we first got one for June that our pediatrician told us not to leave her in there for longer than 10 minute periods. She might've even said only ten minutes per day!!! I don't remember exactly, June hasn't used hers in almost a year at this point. I've tried to research this online but can't really come up with a good conclusion. Like all parenting choices, it's just that... it's a choice everyone has to make. But I'd like to say don't feel guilty for putting your kid in a bouncer. After all, everyone needs a break.

Product Test: Booster Seats

A booster seat is a great investment especially when you go to a restaurant or someone else's house where you may not have access to a high chair. We got the Fisher-Price Rainforest seat and Junebug used it for months... she still does! She started using it at about 4 months and at 18 months it still comes in handy. A lot of my friends have the Phil & Teds me too chair which I always thought was way cool too.

Product Test: Aquaphor!

After 6 months of buying things and using things I feel like I have enough knowledge to start making some recommendations. The first one is Aquaphor. I have used Aquaphor on Junebug's tushy from day one and she has never once had a diaper rash - not once! It comes in this convenient tub which sits on the changing table with a loose cap for easy access. I highly, highly, highly recommend this product. In most places this tub costs $17.99 but if you get them at Target they only cost $14.99. If you see them at Target in a tub, scoop them up because they constantly sell out of them.
